Going natural

Help! My hair is natural and I don't know what to do with it! That is the number one comment I get. Sisters are begining to realize that cooperations and businesses are making billions of dollars because of our misconceptions of our hair in its natural state! I kicked my addiction of the "creamy crack" 8 years ago, and have been natural since. Yes I am a recovering permaholic! For me it was not a hairstyle change but a lifestyle change... How did I transition? A coworker who was natural had such beautiful wavy hair, coaxed me into going natural. Me being impatient took some scissors and cut my almost shoulder length hair to one inch! just enough to braid (good thing i got skills) i wore braids for 6 months and by that time my hair was long enough for a mini puff and the rest is history...Now it is my passion to free the rest of the permies from the hair matrix! it's your choice red or green pill.....you won't regret it!

  2. Your hair is beautiful. Some people cannot make the transition. Society has us scared to be our natural selves. I love my natural hair. I wish it was the length that it was before my illness in 2003. Check out this website: www.nappturality.com. I have been a memeber for years. Always Natural!

  3. Hey Mona.
Great topic! I love seeing the natural look returning to the community. Alone with that is the hard work that I'm familiar with, having a pre-teen daughter. My biggest fear WAS that she would join the misconceptions and turn towards chemicals that alter the natural hair state. I love the work you do with her. The confidence and her knowing that her hair is an extention of her natural beauty is why I choose Rockafro. Thanks
